You are Fabulous

Hi again!  Another relatively simple card with a few embellishments.

The Challenges: Just Us Girls (#746) featuring YOU; Seize The Birthday (#303) for Layers; TGIF (#520) for a Layered Sketch; Just Add Ink (#746) to include Swirls; and choosing the palette from Color Throwdown (#830).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.  
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Pool Party Ombre patterned piece of paper from the retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack standing in for the Mint Green color.
  • The swirly font sentiment, Fabulous is what you are, from the retired Million & One stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then dry-embossed with the retired Sale-a-bration 2025 Starstruck Embossing Folder.
• Side Panel: (1¾” x 3¾”) Fresh Freesia Ombre patterned piece of paper, also from the retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack standing in for the Lavender color.
  • The Fine Cross Hatch image from the retired Beautiful Thistle stamp set was added with Fresh Freesia ink.
  • The Open Leaf image from the Friends for Life stamp set, still available but on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the Butterfly image from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set, also on the Last Chance List.  The Butterfly and Leaves were colored with Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Marker.
• Top Panel: (1¾” x 2”) Lemon Lolly patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack, also on the Last Chance List.
  • The Floral image from the now retired Sentimental Park stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was another Butterfly image from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set.  The Butterfly and Flowers were colored with both the Light and Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers.
• Strip: (1⅞” x ⅜”) Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, also from the Sentimental Park stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All layers were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Purple Fine Shimmer Gems and Peach Pie 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems (also on the Last Chance List) were added for a bit of bling.

A sweet pastel spring birthday card.
