Sweet Springtime – Happy Easter

Happy Sunday!  Hoping that you will find some time to be creative.

Easter is just around the corner and several challenges are tapping into the theme.

CAS on Friday (#306); Addicted to CAS (#280); Double D (#040225); and If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#203).

I selected the Just Add Ink (#745) color palette and am sharing with Critter Crazy (#97) where the theme is always animal related.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
• The greeting, Happy Easter, from the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sweet Springtime stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and then the panel was dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Focal Panel: (2¾” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using the Mask I created for a previous card:  Copy Paper (4¼” x 5½”) and the (1¾” x 3⅛”) Rectangle die from the retired Deckled Rectangles Dies set, Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam inks were added with Blending Brushes.
  • The Bunny image from the retired Fable Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the Flower image from the Corner in Bloom stamp set, a 2025 Sale-a-bration option, that is now retired.
  • The Grass image, also from the Fable Friends stamp set, was stamped multiple times with Soft Sea Foam ink.
  • The Panel was then also dry-embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Focal Images – Bunny and Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Bunny and the Flower were stamped again with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bunny – Light Smoky Slate; Jacket – Light Petunia Pop; Blooms – Light Petunia Pop; and Leaf & Stem – Light and Dark Soft Sea Foam and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base and the Bunny and the Flower were popped up with Dimensionals. 

Going through my stash looking at all my Rabbit images, I always come back to this one.  I just love her sweet expression.  Wishing you all a very happy easter.
