Wonderful Romance – Thinking of You

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday…

Today’s Challenge Combination includes: The layout suggested at Freshly Made Sketches (679); The selection of Shimmer and Flowers for the Just Add Ink (#744) Just Choose Two; and sharing with TGIF (#518) for their colorful Floral inspiration board.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Berry Burst Ombre patterned piece of paper from the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper pack, a free selection that was available from the 2025 Sale-a- bration Brochure.
  • The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the retired Wonderful Romance stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Banner Flag: (1⅞” x 4½”) Bubble Bath Ombre patterned piece of paper from the retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with one of the Banner dies from the retired Banner Framelits Dies set.
• Shape – Circle: (3½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral image, also from the Wonderful Romance stamp set, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Both Light and Dark – Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow.
  • Very hard to see, but ever so lovely in person, the entire image was liberally shimmered with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and then die-cut with the (2⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Floral Circle was popped up with Dimensionals.  More shimmer was added by using the very pretty but retired Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon for the Cross Strip feature and the addition of several Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems.

I think this is the first time this stamp set saw some ink.  Has that happened to you?  You bought something so lovely, but somehow did not get around to actually using it before it retired.  Well, today was the day!
