Sunrise Sailing – Ahoy!

Hi again!  Another quick little card for you…

How about a sneak peek of a new stamp set bundle that will be available as an On-Line Exclusive in May.  The Sunrise Sailing Bundle includes the Stamp Set and the Hybrid 3D Embossing Folder & Dies.  I wanted to have a play with it.

The Creative Colours (#186) palette seemed ideal to create a misty morning scene.   

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Gray cardstock.
• Card Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Sailboat image was stamped with Basic Gray ink as was the Seagulls, Hull detail and sentiment greeting, Ahoy!
  • The Sail Decoration image was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink as was the Ripple Reflection.
  • Color was added to the Sails and the Hull with the Dark Soft Sea Foam and Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The top of the Panel was then partially embossed to add the Cloud detail.
  • Using a piece of Copy Paper as a Mask and Blending Brushes, Soft Sea Foam ink was added to the Sky and Lost Lagoon ink was added to the Water.
  • Finally, the entire Panel was dry-embossed to catch the Sailboat and Water details.

…a cool new product…just adhere the layers and the card is complete.
