Textured Notes – Appreciation Card

Hi again! I had a chance to create another card post class today…

Just Add Ink (#743) has a fun little sketch and Festive Friday (#180) has a delightful list of options featuring Black and White.  Let’s do it!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel Top: (5¼” x 3¼”) Basic Black Two-Tone cardstock (dark side) dry-embossed with the retired Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.
  • The Musical Notes were enhanced by sanding the pattern with a Sanding Block to highlight the white core.
• Background Panel Bottom: (5¼” x 1½”) Basic Black Two-Tone cardstock (light side) torn to expose the white core.
  • The sentiment, a little note of appreciation, from the Textured Notes stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Shape – Circles: (12” x 2”) Dark Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper pack, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Using the (1¾”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, three accent pieces were die-cut.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Accent Circles were popped up with Dimensionals and several Silver toned Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added for some bling.

It is always fun to create with black and white and this is a very nice thank you card.
