Delightful Floral – It’s Your Day

Time again for Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#503), where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on page 37 of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog.

A very quick little card for you.  I’m getting ready for Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage convention and I should be packing, but I couldn’t resist making at least one card.

Clean and simple using several of the color tones suggested by Color Dare (#641) which are in the very pretty but retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Berry Burst cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fresh Freesia Watercolor Ombre patterned piece of paper.
• Blocks: (1½” x 4”) Parakeet Party Watercolor Ombre and Floral patterned pieces of paper.
• Sentiment Tag: Berry Burst cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, It’s Your Day, from the Penciled Pear stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (2⅛” x ¾”) Stitched Tag die from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty card and so easy to make.
