Dance With Me – My Heart Anniversary Card

Time again for Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#501), where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on page 51 of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog.

The challenges that informed my choices today include: Paper Craft Cew (#609) to select a favorite from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure.  Noting that the promotion ends on Feb 28^th; TGIF (#513) for an almost anything goes but choosing a conversational statement; Time Out (#282) for the colors and sharing with Double D (#021925) for the color Red.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (2½” x 3½”) Real Red Stylized Floral patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Sentiment Panel: (1¼” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, My Heart Loves Your Heart, from the Heart Shaped stamp- set, a free selection with a qualifying purchase from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure, was selectively inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.
• Shapes – Dancing Couple: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Dancing Couple image from the Dance With Me stamp set, another free Sale-a-bration selection, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Skin– Ivory; Eyes – Light Boho Blue; Man’s Hair/Beard/Shoes– Light Smoky Slate; Woman’s Hair – Bronze; Man’s Mouth/Woman’s Cheeks – Light Bubble Bath; Woman’s Lips/Shoes – Dark Real Red; and Man’s Pants – Dark Basic Black.
  • The Dancing Couple was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Clothing – Paper Piecing: Scrap Basic Gray Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Pack and scrap Real Red Dotted patterned piece of paper, also from the Regals Paper pack.
  • The Dancing Couple image was selectively inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that the Man’s Vest and the Women’s Dress were stamped on the respective patterned papers.
  • The Clothing was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips and adhered in place.  

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, keeping it clean and simple. Just Stamps, Ink and Paper.

A perfect anniversary card for a couple still very much in love with each other.
