Big on Birthdays

Welcome back! 

Playing with the Retro Rubber (#248) Sketch which I rotated to the horizontal position.

Additionally, the Color Dare (#638) Palette and the Addicted to Stamps and More (#486) to make my mark with coloring tools.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
• Split Background Panel: (5¼” x 2”) Crushed Curry Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack and Cherry Cobbler Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.
• Tag: (4½” x 2⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral Happy Birthday image from the retired Big on Birthdays stamp set (circa 2017) was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
  • The Tag Shape was created by trimming the corners (¾” x ⅝”) on each side and a (¼”) Hole was also punched using a Hand-held Circle Punch.
  • The Flowers were colored with the Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers and the Leafy bits were colored with the retired Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker.
  • Using a Ruler and the retired Night of Navy old-style Stampin’ Write Marker, the “Stitching” was added around the Tag.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped sketch, and a Bow was tied from the retired Bumble Bee 2020/2022 In-Color Ribbon and added to the Tag with a Glue Dot.

Love that large pretty font.  A fun birthday card
