Iced Gingerbread & Coffee – Made with Love

Welcome back! Happy Saturday.  Hoping you will find some time to be creative today.

A few challenge themes: Paper Craft Crew (#608) Treats and Caffeinated Christmas (#38) Add a Heart.

With the Color Throwdown (#826) Palette and the TGIF (#512) Sketch.

Here is the result:

LATTE LOVE – LIMITED EDITION – PPC608 – CCCCB38 – CTD826 – TGIFC512

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Petal Pink, Pecan Pie and White Swirled patterned piece of paper from the retired A Little Latte Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Mat: (2⅞” x 2⅞”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Background Square: (2¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Decoration (1) – Holiday Tree Gingerbread: (2½” x 3½”) Pecan Pie and Basic White cardstock.
    • Using the Solid Tree die and the Snowflake Tree die from the now retired Decorative Trees Dies set, the Gingerbread Cookie was created.
  • Decoration (2) – Coffee Cups: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock colored with Petal Pink ink applied with a Blending Brush
    • From the retired Latte Love stamp set, the Top View Coffee Cup image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and the Heart Latte Design image was added with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pecan Pie ink.  The edges of the Coffee Cup were colored with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and then die cut with the coordinating die from the retired Latte Love Dies set.
    • Using the Brush End of the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker, the edges of the Full Coffee Cup image were colored and then stamped.  The resultant image was very light, so I drew over the lines to make them darker with the Bullet End.
    • The sentiment, made with LOVE, from the retired Limited Edition stamp set was then stamped with Pecan Pie ink onto the Coffee Cup.  The Heart was colored with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.  Additional color was added with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and a bit of Pecan Pie ink was added with a Sponge Dauber to reflect some actual Coffee in the Cup.  The Coffee Cup was then die-cut with the coordinating die.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Full Coffee Cup was popped up with Dimensionals.

Perhaps not valentine Treats but Gingerbread and Coffee made with love is a treat in itself for your special person.
