Perfect Pomegranate – Let’s Celebrate

Welcome back!

Presented with the selection of Creative Colours (#180) falling within the Pink family and the Facebook Global Design Project (#483) theme of Fruit, I chose Pomegranates.  I took a dive into my stash to locate the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set from a few years back.  

I chose the Just Add Ink (#738) Sketch to bring my ideas together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Dashed image from the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set was stamped across the Panel with Pretty in Pink ink.
• Shapes – Square & Rectangles: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock colored with Petal Pink ink applied with a Blending Brush.  Cut sizes: (2¾” x 2¾”) and (2⅝” x 1⅞”).
  • The Pomegranate Pair image was stamped onto the Rectangles with Melon Mambo ink and the Two-Step Seed image was added with Pretty in Pink ink.
• Focal Image: (4¼” x 2”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Full Pomegranate image was stamped twice with Melon Mambo ink and the Pomegranates were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and added to the Square with the top Pomegranate popped up with Dimensionals.
• Sentiment Label: Petal Pink brushed Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, let’s celebrate, from the Sentimental Park stamp set was stamped with Melon Mambo ink and trimmed to (2⅜” x ½”) and hand-flagged with Paper Snips.

Symbolically, Pomegranates represent Life.  So let’s celebrate it!
