Fiesta Party – Yay You!

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.

Today I am playing with the Freshly Made (#672) Sketch.  It sent me looking through my stash and I selected a retired Hostess set, Yay You, from way back – 2018.

I was inspired by the Just Add Ink (#737) photo for the summer fresh colors and the party motif.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
• Accent Trims: (4” x ½”) Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo cardstock scraps.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Banner Flag Outline image from the retired Yay You stamp set was stamped three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Two-Step Banner Flag Inset image, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana inks, respectively.
  • The sentiment, You are my kind of fantastic, again from the same stamp set, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Block Arrow was colored with a blend of retired Light Bermuda Bay and Light Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Markers to get a Coastal Cabana color effect.  The nice thing about Photopolymer stamps is that you can bend them a little for a curved stamped image.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch keeping the design clean and simple.

A fun little celebratory appreciation card for a great friend or family member.
