Country Flowers – You’re On My Mind

Welcome back!  Saturday and I hope it is yours to do what you wish and that includes some time to be creative.

Today I am playing with the Creative Colour (#179) Palette for the Atlantic Hearts (#615) Sketch.

When we get new catalogs and new on-line products, we tend to forget our favorites from the annual catalog…so, I revisited the Country Woods Suite and chose the Country Flowers Bundle.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Smoky Slate Denim patterned piece of paper from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack.
• Frame: (3” x 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock die-cut with both the (2⅝” x 4”) and (2” x 3⅜”) Rectangle dies from the retired Radiating Stitches Dies set.
• Corner Inset: A section of the Smoky Slate Lacy patterned piece of paper, also from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack, was die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set and trimmed with Paper Snips to fit behind the Frame.
• Background Inset: (2¼” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the same (2” x 3⅜”) Rectangle die.
• Focal Image – Floral Teapot: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Flowers and the Teapot were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Large Blossoms – Light Lemon Lolly; Small Flowers – Dark Lemon Lolly; Leaves – Light and Dark Lemon Lime Twist; and Teapot – a blend of Light Smoky Slate and Light and Dark Gray Granite.
  • Both the Flowers and the Teapot were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Country Flowers Dies set.
• Sentiment Flag: Lemon Lime Twist cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, you’re on my mind, from the new Grow with Love stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder. 
  • The sentiment was trimmed and hand-flagged with Paper Snips to (1¾” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.  A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels were added for a bit of bling.

A pretty Thinking of You card in the subtle yellow and gray tones, a favorite color combo of mine.
