Anniversary – Love

Welcome back!  I have a sweet little love card for you today.

Over at Facebook’s Colour INKspirations (#180) the colors were a bit challenging, but I was inspired by the Make My Monday (#244) Gnome theme.  As mentioned in the past, I do not have any Gnome stamp sets, so I perused Pinterest for an idea and hand drew the Gnome Couple for an Anniversary card.

I am sharing this card with Just Us Girls (#761) requiring a Heart Die and Double D (#020525) for an Anything Goes theme that includes Hearts.

Here is the result:

HAND DRAWN GNOMES – CI180 – MMM244 – JUGS761 – DOUBLED020525

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Beige cardstock dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder that was inked with Pecan Pie ink applied with the Stampin’ Brayer.
  • Grounding Shape – Wood Slice: Pecan Pie cardstock scrap dry-embossed and die-cut using the retired Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies.
  • Focal Image – Gnomes: Basic White Thick cardstock scrap.
    • The Gnomes were hand drawn using one of my Fine-Tipped Black Permanent Ink Pens.
    • The Gnomes were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen:  Girl Gnome – Light versions of Petunia Pop and Pecan Pie and Boy Gnome – the darker versions of the same colors; Faces – Ivory; Hair – Light Smoky Slate; Shoes – Bronze; and Highlights – Color Remover.
    • The Gnomes were then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment and Hearts – Petunia Pop cardstock scrap die-cut with the “L”, “V” and “E” Mini Alphabet Dies and the Hearts from the Classic Wedding Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base and Gnome Couple was popped up with Dimensionals.

A really cute card perfect for an Anniversary or can be used as a Valentine.
