Corner in Bloom

Welcome back!  A brand-new week.  Happy Monday.

Again, another clean and simple card.  My favorite style!

The Challenges: CAS on Friday (#301) Flower theme; Addicted to CAS (#275) Center Focus orientation; Color Dare (#636) for the Palette; and Just Add Ink (#736) for a Touch of Bling.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Bling: (2” x 2”) Retired 2021/2023 In-Color Shimmer Vellum in Polished Pink – so sparkly, die-cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Flower: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The single Floral image from the Corner in Bloom stamp set, a Sale-a-bration free optional choice with a qualifying purchase, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and water-colored using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush with ink picked up for the Ink Pad Lids.  Colors chose: Bloom – Berry Burst and Gorgeous Grape and Leaves – Lemon Lime Twist.
  • The Flower was die-cut with the (1½” x 1½”) Stitched Square die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base, keeping the Floral image in a Central Position.  It is hard to see in the photograph, but the Shimmer Vellum is so nice and sparkly.

I intentionally left the card without a sentiment so that it could be used for any purpose.
