Welcome back! It is almost the end of a cold wintery month, and I am dreaming about spring…
For the Facebook SU! Color (January) Palette, I chose to play with the 3-2-1 Recipe suggestion at Double Trouble (#183) who is partnering with Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#662).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Highland Heather Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack. (Pattern Paper #1)
- Vertical Cross Strip: (2¼” x 5¼”) Navy and White Floral patterned paper from the Serene Love Designer Series Paper pack, and On-Line Exclusive product. (Pattern Paper #2)
- The patterned paper Floral design was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Cabbage Rose – Dark Highland Heather, Open Flowers – Light and Dark Lemon Lolly; Mini Blossoms Centers – Dark Lemon Lolly; Eucalyptus – Light Old Olive; and Mums – Light Blackberry Bliss.
- Decoration – Butterflies: Three different sized Butterflies were selected from the Paper Butterfly Accents pack. (Images – All 3)
- The Butterfly Wings were colored with Lemon Lolly ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.
- Sentiment: Berry Burst cardstock scrap. (1 Smile sentiment)
- The sentiment, You Make me smile, from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then closely trimmed with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
I grabbed Berry Burst instead of Blackberry Bliss for the sentiment by accident, but I like how it is a bit brighter and pops against other colors.
A pretty all occasion card…
