In the Country – Birthday Card

Welcome back!  Almost the start of the weekend.  Do you have any creative plans?

A masculine birthday card for Crafter’s Café (#315) and Krafty Chicks (#752) based on the Farm Quest (#67) Country Roads theme and bringing it all together with the Atlantic Hearts (#613) Sketch.

Here is the result:

IN THE COUNTRY – GARDEN MEADOW – CCCB315 – KCC752 – FQCB67 – AHSC613

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Basic Beige cardstock dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Cross Strip: (5⅜” x 1”) Shaded Spruce Striped patterned paper from the 2024/2025 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The sentiment, happy birthday!, from the now retired Garden Meadow stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Focal Shape – Rectangle: (3” x 2”) Basic Beige cardstock.
    • The Country Road scene from the retired In the Country stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils.  Colors chosen: Tree Line – Granny Apple Green and Old Olive; Meadow – Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry; Fence – Early Espresso; and Road – Basic Gray.
    • The corners were clipped with the retired Corner Rounder Punch and the edges were highlighted with Pecan Pie ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Focal Image was popped up with Dimensionals.

A great little birthday card!

  1. Fabulous rural country road scene!! Could have been used on a John Denver record album cover! 🙂 The wood grain embossing and stripe strip also add masculine/rustic details to the card! Awesome combination!!! Way to bundle the themes!!! Thanks for sharing at FQCB #67! ~~ Becca
