Friendly Seagulls – Fun Fold Card

Indulge me with another card – so many deadlines today…

Playing with Inspire Create (#184) looking for a Fancy Fold…not a style of card that I make very often and sharing with Creative Creases (#99).

I chose to participate in the Stampin’ Through The Catalog stamp choice for today – Friendly Seagulls and use the Creative Colour (#177) Palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Hey, Friend and a Seagull image along with the Sand Pebbles image were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Seagull was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bird – Light and Dark Balmy Blue and Beak / Feet – Dark Daffodil Delight.
  • The Card Front was temporarily adhered to the card base front and a Circle opening was die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Card Front was removed and then dry-embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and then adhered back in place.
• Fun Fold Insert: (8” x 4” scored at 4” and 2”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • On the inside Insert, another Seagull image, the Flying Birds image and Sand Pebbles image were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The Seagull was similarly colored with the same Stampin’ Blends Markers.
• Circle Decorations: Balmy Blue and Basic Beige cardstocks.
  • Two (2⅛”) Stitched Circles were die-cut in each color and one (2½”) Stitched Circle was die-cut in Balmy Blue.
  • The French Fry Seagull image and the Sand Pebbles image was stamped onto the (2⅛”) Basic Beige Circle and similarly colored as before and then adhered to the larger Balmy Blue Circle.
  • The sentiments, I love you more than and French Fries were stamped on to the smaller Balmy Blue Circle along with the French Fry Packet image and more Sand Pebbles.
  • The French Fries and the Bun were colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend Marker and the Burger/Lettuce was colored with the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • The Balmy Blue Sentiment Circle was then adhered in place through the Card Front Circle Opening for correct placement.
  • The Matted Seagull Circle was also fitted through the Card Front Circle Opening and adhered to the Folded Flap Pull Out.

Three views for a surprise opening.  Those Seagulls just crack me up!  They are available for free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration.
