Heart Shaped – Valentine

Welcome back!  Sale-a-bration has started.  Sale-a-bration is Stampin’ Up!’s annual Bonus Promotion.  With a qualifying purchase, you can select any number of fun products from Embellishments, Embossing Folders, Designer Series Papers, Stamp Sets, Stamp/Die Bundles, and Card Kits for free.  Many of which coordinate with New Mini Catalog offerings.

Today, I am using the Heart Shaped Bundle for Facebook Case-ing Tuesday, where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The (#494) card can be found on page 17 of the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure.

My design choice was influenced by Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#2025-01) with a Valentine Twist; and I am sharing this card with Love Those Pretty Papers (#7) for using patterned papers and Love to Craft (#84) for their Anything Goes theme.

I took a dive into my retired and hoarded stash of pretty paper for the All My Love Designer Series Paper pack because I do not have any of the current Valentine Designer Series Paper offered by Stampin’ Up!.

Here is the result:

HEART SHAPED BUNDLE – CT494 – HQCOLCB202501 – LTPP007 – LTCCB084

Steps:

  • Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Lovely Lipstick retired cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired All My Love Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Block: (4¼” x 2¼”) Lovely Lipstick Diagonal Striped patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack.
  • Cross Strip: (4¼” x ⅝”) Balmy Blue cardstock scrap dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Sentiment Block: (2¾” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, My thoughts of you are all heart shaped, from the Heart Shaped stamp set was stamped with retired Lovely Lipstick ink.
  • Decoration – Heart: Balmy Blue cardstock scrap, retired Lovely Lipstick and Brushed Gold cardstock scraps.
    • The Large Heart (2½” x 2⅛”) and Small Heart (1⅝” x 1½”) were die-cut with Heart dies from the retired Framelits Hearts Dies set.  The Filagree Heart was die-cut with the Heart die from the coordinating Heart Shaped Dies Set.
    • The Small Heart was dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Heart was popped up with Dimensionals.

A sweet Valentine…

I am looking forward to seeing how you choose to use the sketch.
