Holiday Tag – Be Merry

Design Team Time: This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#362) we are looking for a Holiday Tag and/or Holiday Card.  I don’t really need any more cards, so I opted to create a Tag.  Hand Stamped Sentiments (#453) is offering us a Holiday Mood Board and I was influenced by the photo on the bottom right.

Additional Challenges: Inspire Create (#182) Anything but a Card and Inspired By (#313) Gifting.

I pulled out an older Paper Pumpkin Kit – November 2018 (To You and Yours) and raided some of the contents still in the box.  Specifically: Crumb Cake Card Base, Plaid Card Front, Vellum Circle, Greenery and Gold Sequins.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Tag Base: (3¼” x 5½”) Cut card base.
• Background Panel: (3” x 5”) Red Plaid card front.
• Decoration (1): (2½”) Vellum Circle dry-embossed with the retired Snow Falling 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration (2): Three Laser Cut Greenery Fronds.
  • Using my (¼”) Hand-held Punch, six circles were punched from a Real Red cardstock scrap and added as Berries to the Fronds.
• Decoration (3): Three Gold Sequins were added for some bling.
• Sentiment Label: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Be Merry, from the Christmas Labels stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Christmas Labels Dies set.
  • The Label was popped up with Dimensionals.
• To finish off the Tag, another hole was punched in the top and Red Ribbon from my stash was threaded through and tied off with a Linen Thread Bow.

Plaid always lends itself to a masculine vibe and I think this tag will look great on one of my husband’s gifts!
