Design Team Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#490) where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs. Today? The card can be found on page 19 of the Sep – Dec Mini Catalog.

What fun to mix and match with current products and those in your stash…and we all know that we have plenty of those…
That said, my inspiration for this card reflects the following challenges: TGIF (#502) for the color scheme; Just Add Ink (#731) with a holiday photo with similar colors; Global Design Project (#475) for celebrations and Christmas is principally when my far-flung family gathers together; and for good measure, Cupcake Inspirations (#608) to add ribbon.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Wild Wheat cardstock, an excellent stand-in for gold.
- Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Red/Gold/White Holly Berry patterned piece of paper from the retired Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
- Focal Image – Poinsettias: Double Poinsettia Ephemera piece for the A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
- The Poinsettia was fussy-cut with Paper Snips to remove the white edging and also cut apart so one Flower could be popped up for some texture.
- Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap
- The truncated phrase, Let’s Celebrate, from the retired Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
- The Sentiment was then die-cut with one of the Label dies from the Christmas Labels Dies set.
- The edge of the Label was colored with the retired Stampin’ Dazzle Gold Marker for a bit of definition.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Poinsettia was tilted to the left and both the main Flower and the Label were popped up with Dimensionals. A bit of Real Red Ribbon and Gold Cording Trim from my stash were added under the Label and Gold Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments were added to the Flower centers.
Let’s Celebrate – only two weeks until Christmas! Happy Holidays!
Looking forward to seeing how you choose to use the sketch.
