Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#719) challenge. This week, Ann has a lovely Color Scheme for us which is just perfect for Holiday cards and so nicely matches the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper that I haven’t yet had a chance to use.
I selected the Freshly Made (#665) Sketch and I am sharing this card with Tic Tac Toe (#262) for the diagonal elements: Die Cuts, Wet Embossing and Metallic along with Love Those Pretty Papers (#006).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic Beige cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pretty Peacock Solid Fabric patterned piece of paper.
- The sentiment, Believe, from the Christmas Labels stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
- Strips: (1”) by various lengths ranging from (3¾” to 4¼”) Cherry Cobbler/Gold; Basic Beige/Gold and Pretty Peacock/Gold patterned pieces of paper.
- Focal Image – Tree: (2½” x 3½”) Pretty Peacock Solid Fabric patterned piece of paper die-cut with the Solid Tree die from the Decorative Trees Dies set.
- Decoration – Filigree Tree: (2” x 3”) Gold Foil die-cut with the Filagree Tree die, also from the Decorative Trees Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

What a gorgeous card, Jolanda! It is truly elegant, from the stylized Christmas tree and the gorgeous papers you used for the vertical strips to the wonderful font for the sentiment. Love this!
