Autumn – Thank You

Welcome back!  Happy Saturday.

A couple of challenges combined: The Card Concept (#211) for both theme and colors along with the Tuesday Morning (#785) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Mini Tile patterned piece of paper from the retired Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.
• Vertical Panel: (2” x 4¾”) Early Espresso Zigzag patterned piece of paper, also from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.
• Shape – Leaf: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Maple Leaf from the retired Vintage Leaves stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze ink and colored with the retired Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.  Colors chosen: Stem – Dark Crumb Cake and Leaf – Dark Daffodil Delight.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, Early Espresso ink was added to the edges of the Leaf and then the Leaf was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment: Cajun Craze cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Wildflowers Designs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then hand -flagged with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A Bow was added using Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and the Leaf was popped up with Dimensionals.

I am very fond of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  It was nice to pull it out and have a play with it.
