Friendly Seagulls – Love You

Welcome back!  A brand-new week and some time to play.

Starting with the Color Throwdown (#821) Palette and The Male Room (#192) Kinetic theme, I altered the Global Design Project (#474) Sketch to be a full-size Slim Line card to fit my elements and am sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (December) Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (9¼” x 8” scored at 4”) Daffodil Delight cardstock.
• Background Panel: (9” x 3¾”) Granny Apple Green Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Flowers & More Host Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (1½” x 8½”) Daffodil Delight cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Cross Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes: Azure Afternoon cardstock die-cut with the (2⅛”) and (2¾” x 2¾”) Circle and Square Stitched dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Images: Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (1⅝”) and (2⅛”) Stitched Circle dies, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.  All images and sentiments are from the new Friendly Seagulls stamp set, a free item with a $60 purchase from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • All images were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Azure Afternoon, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight.
• Using the Large Perforated Circle die from the Hooray for Surprises Dies set, the Pull-Part was die-cut into the (2¾” x 2¾”) Azure Afternoon Square and the word instruction: Pull, from the coordinating Hooray for Surprises stamp set was added with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• The Surprise:  Another Basic White (2¾” x 2¾”) Stitched Square was die-cut and the French Fry eating Seagull scene was stamped and colored.
• The Azure Afternoon square was adhered over the Basic White square covering the scene but will become visible when the recipient “Pulls” the Tab.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped sketch. 

A fun anniversary or valentine’s card and a preview of a new stamp set.
