Happy Thanksgiving!
Over at Make My Monday (#239), the theme is Food and/or Drink which is highly appropriate for today. Just Add Ink (#730) is looking for some Fruit. How about a Strawberry Daiquiri? I chose the Try a Sketch on Saturday (#659) for my card design.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Strawberry and Blueberry patterned piece of paper from the retired Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper pack.
- Cross Strips: (5⅛” x ¼”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock scraps.
- Focal Image Accent Mat: (2⅛” x 2⅜”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap.
- Focal Image: (2” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Daiquiri Glass from the retired Happy Hour stamp set was colored with the Real Red and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped.
- The word Cheers, from the sentiment stamp was also colored with the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool.
- A couple of Strawberries were added and they too, were colored with the Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Markers.
- Flourish: Night of Navy cardstock scraps die-cut with the Stars die from the Wanted To Say Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Focal Image was popped-up with Dimensionals.
