Rest Relax Enjoy – Treat Yourself

Welcome back!  Friday already…here’s hoping you have some fun weekend activities planned.

My card today, is inspired by three challenges: Freshly Made (#663) for the Sketch; Creative Colour (#168) for the Palette; and Tic Tac Toe (#261) for the elements – Heat Embossing, the color White and Baker’s Twine.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Block:
  • A Mask was created with the (2” x 3⅜”) Rectangle die from the retired Radiating Stitches Dies set and a piece of Copy Paper.
  • The Mask was set in place and using the Diamond Stencil from the retired Foursquare Decorative Masks set, the pattern block was added with Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush.
  • The sentiment, Treat Yourself, from the Rest Relax Enjoy stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and then over stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder for a shadowed look.
• Cross Strip: (5”) White Baker’s Twine over top of (5″) retired Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon secured with Scoth Tape.
• Top Block Accent Mat: (1½” x 2⅛”) Lemon Lolly cardstock scrap.
• Top Block – Focal Image: (1⅜” x 2”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Small Jar image, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
  • The Small Flower image was also stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
  • Using the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend Marker, the Top of the Jar and Water Line were added as well as the extension of the Flower Stem.
  • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Flower – Light and Dark Lemon Lolly; Stem – Dark Soft Sea Foam; and Water – Light Pool Party.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The card front was popped up with Foam Adhesive Strips and the Focal Block was popped up with Dimensionals.
