Penguin Birthday Greetings

Is he not the cutest little guy!

Today’s challenges: Cupcake Inspirations (#606) featuring Penguins; Seize The Birthday (#295) asking for a single stamped image.

Creating with the Alphabet Letter “Q” – for Quick and Easy in mind and a loose interpretation of the Stampin’ Up! Template Number 10 Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • A single stamped image – the Scattered Dots image from the retired Gorgeous Leaves stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue ink for a Snowy background.
  • The sentiment, happy birthday, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Focal Image – Penguin: The happy waving Winter Penguin image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips from the one of the patterned pieces of paper from the retired Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper pack.

All elements were adhered to the card base and the Happy Penguin was popped up with Dimensionals.

Can’t help but smile…a really cute winter Brrr…thday card
