Soft Seedlings – So Grateful

Good afternoon!  After completing a few chores, I am back in the Studio…

The challenges: As You See It (#336) Seeds; Facebook Joy of Sets (November) Smores Colors; Crafter’s Café (#314) Anything Goes with a Monochrome Twist; and Atlantic Hearts Sketch (#603) for a clean and simple A2 Layout.

Here is the result:

SOFT SEEDLINGS – PAINTED POPPIES – AYSI336 – AHSC603 – CCCB314 – JOS November 2024

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (4″ x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Splotch image from the retired Painted Poppies stamp set was stamped with both Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie inks.  Top: 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Crumb Cake; Top Middle: 1st Generation Crumb Cake; Bottom Middle: 2nd Generation Pecan Pie; and Bottom: 1st Generation Pecan Pie.
    • The Maple Leaf / Seedlings and Single Seedling images from the retired Soft Seedlings stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • Sentiment Block: Crumb Cake cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, so grateful, also from the Soft Seedlings stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and die-cut with the (2¼” x ⅞”) Elongated Octagonal die from the Countryside Corners Dies set.

The Focal Panel was adhered to the card base and the Sentiment was popped-up with Dimensionals to resemble the sketch in an A2 format.

A very nice Fall Thank You card. I am partial to earthy tones and am a fan of monochromatic color schemes.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

  2. I’ve always loved this set, so nice to see it in action. The muted, neutral palette is great and the splotches in the background are just perfect additions. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
