Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#716) challenge. This week, Jaydee has selected a Holiday themed clean and simple card.

Clean & Simple (CAS) does not have to be so very simple. It can have plenty of layers but should also have plenty of “white” space.
My design was influenced by the Alphabet (Letter Q) for Quick & Easy; Addicted to CAS (#271) for Snow; and Double Trouble (#179) for Layers who is also partnering with Inspiration Station (#67) for a Holiday theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Gold Grid patterned piece of paper from the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
- Accent Mat: (2⅝” x 4⅞”) Gold Foil
- To make it easier to add the Tree Decoration, the Gold Foil Panel was affixed to an Adhesive Sheet.
- To maximize the beautiful Gold Foil Panel, the Tree was die-cut using the Snowflake Tree die from the Decorative Trees Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product and set aside.
- Focal Panel: (2⅜” x 4¾”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
- The sentiment, O Christmas Tree, from the Decorative Trees stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with Gold Embossing Powder.
- The card was then assembled:
- The Adhesive Sheet Backing was removed from the Tree and then added to the Focal Panel.
- The Focal Panel was adhered over the Gold Foil Mat, covering the Tree opening.
- Two (6”) pieces of (⅛”) Gold Trim Ribbon, were wrapped diagonally around the Background Panel and affixed with Scotch Tape.
- The Background Panel was adhered to the Card Base and the Decorated Focal Panel was popped up with Dimensionals.
Clean and simple and quickly made. A very elegant Holiday card.
