Simply Zinnia – Thank You

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#715) challenge.  This week, Claire has selected a wonderful set of colors.

What to do with them?

I was inspired by the Tic Tac Toe (#260) line: Ink Blending; CAS, and Die Cut.  I picked the current Just Add Ink (#727) Sketch as it was ideal for clean and simple styling.

For my themes, I opted for Beautiful Blossoms (#22) as they were looking for vibrant colored Flowers and The Flower Challenge (#97) for Flowers with a Thank You greeting.

Here is the result:

SIMPLY ZINNIA – CHANGING LEAVES – PP715 – TTTC260 – JAI727 – BBC022 – TFC97

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Zinnia Floral image from the Simply Zinnia stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Cross Strip: (1½” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • Using Blending Brushes, the Afternoon Azure, Highland Heather, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie inks were added to the Strip.
    • The same Zinnia image was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then the Strip was adhered in place to match the background flower.
  • Sentiment: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Thank You, from the Changing Leaves stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped separated with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals completing the card.

Such a pretty and colorful Floral Thank You card.

  3. I do love a blended ink column and this one’s a beauty. The colours look like a rainbow. I’m also a big fan of the zinnia set so this is all one big tick for me. Lovely card. 🙂

  4. You always have such clever ideas for our challenges Jolanda, and doing an ink blend for your column is brilliant. The zinnia outline stamp is lovely as well. Have a great week!
