Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#450) we have an inspiration challenge. Wintery scenes featuring, Pink, Blue, Brown and White. I opted for the Brown.

My design choices were influenced by several clean and simple challenges. CAS on Friday (#295) to place the image in a corner; Simply Clean & Simple (#16) Anything Goes; the Facebook Joy of Sets (October); and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Corner (October).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Tree image from the retired Waterfront stamp set was stamped with Copper Clay ink and again for a 2nd Generation image slightly off-set.
- Using a Blending Brush, Balmy Blue ink was added around the Trees.
- The sentiment, Wishing You Peace, from the retired Hills of Tuscany stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue ink.
- The panel was then dry-embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
- Decoration – Deer: Basic White and Pecan Pie cardstock scraps.
- The small Deer die from the Grove Dies set was die-cut twice in Basic White and once in Pecan Pie.
- The die-cuts were adhered together in a stack, for dimension, and added to the scene.
A delicate little winter card.
Looking forward to seeing how you will be inspired by the HSS images. Please share with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
