Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#708) challenge. This week, Joanne has presented us with a really cool sketch.

What to do with it? Influences…Seize The Birthday (#291) to add Stripes; Creative Colours (#159) which just brought lovely yellow and purple Pansies to my mind, so I picked a favorite retired stamp set – Petite Pansies for The Flower Challenge (#95) asking for a stamped Floral image.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder.
- Vertical Panel: (2” x 3⅞”) Shy Shamrock Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Wedge: (3½” x 1⅜”) Daffodil Delight cardstock cut on the diagonal to the (⅜”) mark.
- The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the Petite Pansies stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The Wedge was then dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image – Pansy Bouquet: (2” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Pansies were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and allowed to set/dry.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush and inks, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape and Shy Shamrock, picked up from the Ink Pad Lids, the image was water-colored.
- Once dry, the Bouquet was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Pansy Bouquet was popped up with Dimensionals.
I like how fresh and clean this card turned out to be. A pretty little Birthday card.

I like the way you’ve ‘downsized’ the sketch to create a petite design. It’s turned out to be a very versatile sketch when you look at what everyone has done with it.
