Layers Of Beauty – Hope

Hi again!  Chasing a deadline and hoping that you will indulge me in another card creation.

Just Add Ink (#719) swapping out Shaded Spruce for Shy Shamrock; Just Us Girls (#744) for their Word Play; The Flower Challenge (#95) for a stamped Floral image; and bringing it all together, the Tuesday Morning Sketch (#774) which I mirrored.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shy Shamrock cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
• Sentiment Flag: (2½” x ⅝”) Petunia Pop cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Hoping your day blooms with happiness!, from the retired Varied Vases stamp set was chosen for the word “Hope” and because it tied in so well with my other chosen elements.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
• Focal Image – Floral Spray: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The large Floral image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The colors were added with Blending Brushes and the coordinating Decorative Masks.  Mask (1) Fresh Freesia; Mask (2) Petunia Pop; Mask (3) Berry Burst; Mask (4) Shy Shamrock; and Mask (5) Shy Shamrock.
  • The Floral Spray was then die-cut with the coordinating Die and further trimmed with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the mirror of the sketch and the Floral Spray was popped up with Dimensionals.  A few 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems (Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock) were added for a wee bit of bling.

I really like the coordination of the Layers of Beauty Bundle.  So many pretty ways to use it.
