By The Bay – Happy Paths

Design Team Time: I am combining two challenges with this card.

Cardz 4 Guyz (#355), where the creative focus is on the menfolk, the theme is Nautical and the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#476) sketch where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on page 104 of the Annual Catalog.   

I am also sharing this card with Make My Monday (#223) for their On The Beach theme and selected to try a new Stampin’ Up! color scheme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Side Panel: (1½” x 5⅛”) Petal Pink Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Background Panel: (3⅝” x 4¾”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
  • The sentiment, May all your paths lead to happiness, from the retired By The Bay stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes – Focal Images: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Seashell and the Waterbirds images from the By The Bay stamp set and the Sailboat image from the retired Sailing Home stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue.
  • The images were die-cut with the (1½” x 1½”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  I opted to pop up the Squares with Dimensionals versus using cut-outs.

Which path…sailing the ocean blue…flying high to points unknown…or a lovely ramble along the beach?
