Full of Life – Friends for Life

Welcome back!  I am totally in love with the Full of Life Suite.  The Colors are just so bright and wonderful!

That being said, the team at TGIF (#487) is asking us to use the gorgeous Designer Series Paper.

I selected to use one of the Stampin’ Up! Sketch Templates and this one can be found on in the Annual Catalog on page 127. I am also sharing this card with Krafty Chicks (#731) for their anything goes theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
• Background Panel (4¼” x 5½”) Shaded Spruce cardstock dry-embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Side Strip: (1½” x 5½”) Blue/Green Ombre from one of the colorful Ombre patterned pieces of paper from the Full of Life Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle: (4” x 4”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (3¾”) Stitched Circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set.
• Focal Circle: (6” x 6”) Green/Blue Sunburst patterned piece of paper, also from the Full of Life Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Using a (3¼”) Circle die from the retired Circle Collection Framelits Dies set, the die was set over the Sunburst to get the image I wanted.
  • The sentiments, Love You and Miss You, from the Friends for Life stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Decoration: (2” x 4¼”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock die-cut with the Open Leaf die from the coordinating Friends for Life Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Open Leaf was added in lieu of the ribbon/twine.   

Loving how the colored “rays” in the patterned paper draw you into the card.
