A Little Wild – Welcome Baby

Welcome back!  Wow, it is already Sunday…the week went by fast.

A number of fun challenges combined this morning.  The Tuesday Morning (#767) Square Sketch which tied in nicely with Christmas (or not) Bingo (#8) line “G” and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#727) for an Anything Goes using Stamps and since I chose an Animal image, Critter Crazy (#89).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel (4” x 4”) Very Vanilla cardstock dry embossed with a retired Swiss Dot Embossing Folder.
• Top and Side Tabs: Blushing Bride retired cardstock scrap die-cut with the (1½” x 1½”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Square was cut in half and three Very Vanilla retired Neutral Brads were added to one Tab with the aid of the Pick Tip from the Take Your Pick Tool.
• Large Square: (2½” x 2½”) Blushing Bride Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired Playful Palette Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (2⅜” x 2⅜) Stitched Square die also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Decoration – Baby Elephant: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The Elephant image from the retired A Little Wild stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the Light Smoky Slate and retired Dark Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • A few details, Eyelashes and Trunk Lines, were added by hand with my Fine-Tipped Liquid Gel Pen.
  • The Elephant was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Square: Smoky Slate cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, a great big welcome for a sweet little someone, also from the A Little Wild stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was then die-cut with the (1” x 1”) Stitched Square die, also from the same die set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Elephant and the sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.

A sweet little baby card!
