Painted Petals – Beautiful Friends

Welcome back!  It has been a busy week, and I still have a few errands to take care of.

Yet, I was thinking about a few challenges overnight and this is what I came up with.  My favorite clean and simple style using a favored technique.

AAA Cards (#270) for the style, sketch and technique using the colors suggested by Cupcake Inspiration (#599) and employing a Coloring Medium Tool for Make My Monday (#231).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using Masking Paper, a section of the Panel was exposed.
  • Using a Blending Brush, the ink colors: Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape were added to create the Ombre effect.
  • The Masking Paper was removed and the Floral image and the sentiment, Friends like you make life beautiful, from the Painted Petals stamp set found in the July 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

That’s it!  Lovely and dramatic and oh so simple.  A nice little friendship card.
