Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#470) Design Team time. Our weekly Catalog CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found in the Stampin’ Up Catalogs. The card we are case-ing this week is on page 72 of the Annual Catalog. We invite you to re-create it any way you like.
Inspiration for my design: Time Out (#268); As You See It (#328); and Four Seasons (July).
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Card Front: (5½” x 4¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
- Accent Strips: (5½” x ½”) Bubble Bath cardstock scraps.
- Window Panel: (5½” x 3¼”) Berry Burst cardstock dry-embossed with the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder and die-cut with the (4¾” x 2¾”) Elongated Hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
- Window Scene – Water & Sky: (5” x 3”) Water-colored Painted Scenery patterned piece of paper from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper pack.
- The Triple Seagull image from the retired Sailing Home stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.
- Sentiment Strip: (3⅞” x ¾”) Misty Moonlight cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, You absolutely made my day, from the Seaside Wishes stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- Decoration – Sand Dollars: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using Sponge Daubers, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia inks were added to the SU Side of the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder.
- The coordinating Seaside Wishes Die was fitted in, as was the cardstock and run through the Cut & Emboss Machine which added color, embossed and die-cut the Sand Dollars.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and one of the Sand Dollars was popped up with Dimensionals.
My ideal vacation is a beach holiday and a favorite activity is to wander along the beach. The surf, the sounds of the gulls, the sand between your toes and finding treasures like Sand Dollars is a delightful part of the excursion.
