Welcome back! A quick little card for you today. Just back from vacation and easing back into creating and blogging.
Playing with the Make My Monday (#230) Theme; the As You See It (#327) Colors and Box Style Design of the Inspiration Photo; and the Can You Handle The Pressure (#59) Tools showcasing two new Embossing Folders.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Dashing Details 3D Embossing Folder for a checked type pattern.
- Squares (Check Boxes): Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green cardstock scraps dry-embossed with the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder.
- Individual patterned Squares were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and adhered to the Background Panel.
- Sentiment Label: Blueberry Bushel cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Let’s Celebrate, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The sentiment was trimmed with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
All done! A favorite color combination…fresh and bright with lots of lovely texture suitable for any celebratory occasion.

What a nice idea to use the folder to create almost peggy squares. Nice choice of embossing folder too, as it looks like handmade knitting or weaving so is in keeping with the style. Thanks for joining in with us again at As You See It.
