Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#698) challenge. This week, Jaydee has a great set of colors for us to use. The addition of Grey takes me straight to the Men’s section. So, I created a clean and simple #simplestamping card perfect for a Gent using the two wonderful images found in the City Sights Card Kit, an On-Line Exclusive product.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock stamped with the Texture image for a tone-on-tone look with Smoky Slate ink.
- Accent Mat: (3¼” x 3⅝”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3⅛” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
- The City Buildings image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- In lieu of the Water image found in the Under the Sun stamp set, I used one of the images from the retired Oceanfront stamp set and stamped the backdrop with Real Red and Smoky Slate ink.
- The sentiment, You’re The Best, from the Translucent Florals stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- I added a bit of the Texture image along the right-side of the image with Smoky Slate ink.
All layers were then adhered to the card base to complete the card. Loving that cool graphic City Block image!

Lovely scene building and use of the kit in an alternative way. The addition of the texture stamp to the background was a great idea – it really adds to your design.

Jolanda… Love what you did with the texture. Not only the background but the overlay on the buildings…and pulling in a bit of the background texture to the main image panel was just genius. Great card!

This is a clever way to use this set Jolanda – the red is really striking through the grey. A lovely masculine card!

What a fabulous masculine card, Jolanda! The texture in the background looks so interesting and your swipes of color over the city block add a very modern feel. Great card!

Fabulous card. I love the way the background overlaps on the scene. Love the way you colored the scene and I think this card works well as a masculine card but also think anyone would enjoy this color combo/card.
