Design Time: This round Cardz 4 Guyz (#351) is stepping into the Animal Kingdom, and I chose a forest setting.

I selected the Sketch Saturday (#298) layout from 2014 to play along with Sketch Saturday (#754) asking us to pick a sketch from the archives and share with The Male Room (#188) who has a similar theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Crumb Cake Cardstock.
- The sentiment, Thinking of you today & every day, from the Happiest Day stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
- Point Strip: (2½ x 4”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
- The point was trimmed at the (2”) mark and cut back (¾”).
- The Point Strip was then dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
- Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 3⅛”) Early Espresso cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3” x 3’) Basic Beige cardstock.
- The Tree and Grass images from the Grassy Grove stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso ink.
- Color was added with Blending Brushes. Colors chosen: Sky – Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight and Ground – Mossy Meadow
- Decoration – Deer: Pecan Pie cardstock scrap die-cut with the two Deer dies from the Grove Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. Two retired (5/16”) Neutral Assortment Brads, one Vanilla and the other Early Espresso were added to complete the card.
Deer in the forest is a pretty magical site.
