Fruit Favorite – Tuscan Vineyards

Round Two as a Guest Designer with the Alphabet Challenge.  Melanie has chosen the word “Fruit” for the Letter “F”.  What better fruit than Grapes…as it is used for a favorite beverage – Wine, which is best shared with Friends.

I chose to create a clean and simple card for CAS Colours & Sketches (#538) using the current color palette and picked the Tuesday Morning (#760) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Bunch of Grapes image from the retired Tuscan Vineyard stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • A Post-It-Note image was also stamped, fussy-cut with Paper Snips and used as a Mask.
  • A second Bunch of Grapes was then also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Grapes were colored with both the Light and Dark Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Using a Ruler and a Pencil, the Block Shapes as per the Sketch design were lightly penciled in.
  • Using my Black Fine-Tipped Liquid Gel Pen, I created the Doodled Blocks.
  • The Blocks were colored in with the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • Shadows were added around the Grapes with the retired Light Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • The sentiment, My world is brighter and more beautiful because of you, from the retired Paisleys & Posies stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

…and there you have it!  #simplestamping – just stamps, ink and paper for a really clean and simple friendship card.
