Sky is the Limit – High Flying Birthday

Welcome back!  Hump day…how can it already be Wednesday?

With Father’s Day around the corner, several challenges have a masculine vibe.  I am creating a birthday card, in the clean and simple style.

First off, Inspired By (#292) for the colors and the sketch which I turned to the horizontal position.  Next, Inspiration Station (#62) for the both the birthday theme and the word “fly”.

Then we have: AAA Cards (#267) masculine twist; Cupcake Inspirations (#596) for the guys; Simply Clean & Simple (#12) anything goes; and CAS on Friday (#285) to add an embossed element.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Airplane image from the retired Sky is the Limit stamp set was stamped three times with Misty Moonlight, Real Red and Boho Blue inks.
  • The Airplane Body was colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • The sentiment, Thinking of you on your special day, from the retired Inspired Thoughts stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
  • The center of the panel was dry-embossed with the Diamond Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive Product.

My favorite style: clean and simple.  What a great birthday card for a fellow!
