Greeting Card Kids – Itty Bitty White Christmas

Welcome back!  A brand-new week.  I have family visiting this week so it may be hit and miss on the blog posts.  But for now, I have created another card for the 2024 Christmas pile.

Playing with the Jingle Belles (#2411) Tic Tac Toe Board tying in with Farm Quest Country Christmas (#8).

Here is the result:

GREETING CARD KIDS – WHITE CHRISTMAS – ITTY BITTY CHRISTMAS – JB2411 – FQCCCB08

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3½” x 4¾”) Basic White cardstock
    • The Christmas Girl image from the retired Greeting Card Kids stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The image was stamped again onto a Post-It-Note, fussy-cut and used as a Mask.
    • The Snow and Trees image from the retired White Christmas stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • With the Mask still in place, Balmy Blue ink was added to the Sky area with a Blending Brush.
    • The sentiment, Very Merry, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink between the Trees and die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The Trunks of the Trees were colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
    • The Snow Banks and Shadows were colored with the retired Light Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends Marker.
    • The Christmas Girl was also colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Face – Ivory; Coat and Mittens – Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler; Coat Fur – Light Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter; Little Sled – Light Smoky Slate; Christmas Tree – Light and Dark Mossy Meadow.
    • The Christmas Tree Star and Holiday Baubles were colored with a Yellow Gold Glitter Gel Pen that I have in my stash.
    • The Splatter image from the retired Perched in a Tree stamp set was stamped over the Trees and Sky with Versamark ink and heat-set with retired Shimmer White Embossing Powder.
    • Using my Versamark Pen, I added ink to the Snow Bank, Christmas Tree and Shadows under the Christmas Girl and also added Shimmer White Embossing Powder.

An old-fashioned rural Christmas scene using many elements from the Tic Tac Toe Board.

    1. Glitter; Red/Green; Stamp
    2. Silver; Die; Tree(s)
    3. Embossing; Red/Green; Die

    A sweet Holiday card.

    1. This is darling!!! Makes me think of myself as a little girl except at that age my hair was cut short. I even think I had a red winter coat, too! LOL! The walk in the winter woods is just a wonderful scene for your Christmas card. Thanks for creating and sharing for FarmQuest Country Christmas!!!
