Big Hugs – Balloon Celebration

Welcome back!  Hoping you have an opportunity to be creative this weekend.

CAS time!  There are few clean and simple challenges about: Addicted to CAS (#259) asking for Balloons and CAS on Friday (#284) asking for Hugs.  I selected the Just Add Ink (#704) Color Palette to complete my idea.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.  All images are from the retired Balloon Celebration stamp set.
  • The Balloon String image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Two of the Smaller Balloon outline images were also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Smaller Balloon In-Fill image stamp was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink and the Speckled Balloon Shadow image was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.
• Additional Balloons: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • Two Large Balloon Outline and one Small Balloon Outline images were stamped.
  • One Small Balloon and one Large Balloon were stamped as above but using Lemon Lolly ink for the Solid image and a bit of Daffodil Delight ink for the Speckled Shadow image.
  • The other Large Balloon was stamped with 2^nd Generation Flirty Flamingo ink (stamped off once) and the Speckles with 1^st Generation Flirty Flamingo ink.
  • The sentiment, Big Hugs, from the retired Perennial Postage stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Flirty Flamingo Balloon.
  • These three Balloons were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and added to the Balloon Strings with Dimensionals.
• Bow: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Bow was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and outlined with a Fine-Tipped Black Gel Pen, fussy-cut and added to the Balloon Strings with a Mini Glue Dot.

Simply done! Clean and Simple, fresh and bright for #simplestamping card.  Just stamps, ink and paper.
