I have been invited to be a Guest Designer with the Alphabet Challenge for the next few challenges and I am delighted as this is one a regularly participate in.
Lydia has selected Embossing – Wet and/or Dry for the next letter, Letter E! So, I am going for it.

For inspiration, I selected components of the Part A (Keys, Door Lock, Padlock, and both Brown & Gray colors) and Part B (Metallic Heart Shape and the Sentiment Expression) sections of the Heart’s Quest (#55) choices and the Sunday Stamps (#336) Sketch to bring it all together.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
- The sentiment, You hold the key to my heart, from the January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Key To My Heart, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
- The Panel was then dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
- Side Strip: (1¼” x 5⅜”) Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
- Accent Mat (1): (2” x 3⅜”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
- Accent Mat (2): (1¾” x 3⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (2” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Door image from the retired In this World stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Door – Light Pecan Pie and Bronze and Glass – Light Soft Sea Foam.
- The Lock and the Door Handle were dabbed with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
- The Door was trimmed with Paper Snips and the Wood Sections of the Door were dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
- Decoration – Keys & Padlock: Basic White cardstock scraps.
- The Keys, one each from the retired In This World stamp set, Established Elegance stamp set and the Artistic Etchings stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
- The Keys were colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
- The Heart Shaped Padlock, from the Paper Pumpkin Kit was also stamped with Versamark and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
- The Keys and the Padlock Lock were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Keys were strung along the White Baker’s Twine which was wrapped around the Background Panel. The Keys, Door, and Padlock were all popped up with Dimensionals.
Resulting in a nice Masculine love card suitable for Father’s Day, Anniversary or Birthday.
