Heartfelt Hellos – Enjoy Your Day

Hi!  One more card for today.  There are still a few challenges that close at month’s end…and that is tomorrow.

Over at Atlantic Hearts (#579), the Sketch has a Brick Work or Herringbone design.  I haven’t made this style in a long time, and it is perfect for using up scrap pieces.  I decided to create my card in the vertical position.

My choices were inspired by Stampin’ Up! Only (#352) to Mix It Up! and the Facebook SU! Colour Group picks for May.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel Base: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock eventually trimmed to (3⅞” x 5⅛”).
• Brick Work Strips: (6” x ½”) Poppy Parade, Blueberry Bushel and Garden Green Dashed and Dotted patterned pieces of paper from both the 2023/2024 Brights and Regals Collections Designer Series Paper packs.
  • The Strips were arranged and adhered in place onto the Base Panel.
• Sentiment Block: (2¼” x 2⅝”) Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The single line, Your Day, from the Enjoy Your Day greeting found in the retired Heartfelt Hellos stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Sentiment Strips: Basic White cardstock scraps
  • The greeting was stamped three times in all three colors and the word, Enjoy, was closely trimmed to fit on the Block.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment Block was popped up with Dimensionals.

A fun bright birthday card.
