Thinking of You – Thoughtful Wishes

Welcome back!  Every month, Stampin’ Up! creates a #simplestamping challenge and this month it was to use the something NEW with the new In-Colors.

On-Stage April 2024 was a time when all of the new products in the catalog were on preview.  Many of the products were demonstrated by a local Demonstrators.  In this case, I admired a card created by Emma Goddard using a favorite water coloring technique and the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set.  This is my take.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a Stampin’ Block, in this case Size C, Stampin’ Write Markers in the desired colors, and a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with Water, we can begin.
    • Step 1: Scribble colors to the block.  Card 1 = Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop.  Card 2 = Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock with some Coastal Cabana.
    • Step 2: Mist Block with water from the Stampin’ Spritzer.
    • Step 3: Stamp on to Paper.  In this case, three times in a row.  Every application will be different.
  • Once dry…or dried quicker with the aid of a Heat Tool, the Floral image from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was added with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the sentiment, Thinking of you fondly.
  • In the complimentary colors, the Scatter Dot image from the same stamp set was inked with the Stampin’ Write Marker and randomly stamped.

The Focal Panel was adhered to the card base and matching 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added for a wee bit of bling.

A super quick, yet pretty thinking of you card.
