Unbounded Love – Butterfly Celebration

Hi! Welcome back. Thursday already – where does the week go…

I am playing with Double Trouble (#166) asking us to do a mixed-up unmatched project and partnering with Tuesday Morning (#756) for the suggested layout.  I also selected the color combination from the Facebook Global Design Project (#445) and added elements found on the Paper Craft Crew (#570) Tic Tac Toe Board.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Pretty Peacock Leaf patterned piece of paper from the now retired Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper pack.
• Background Rectangles: (2¾” x 4”) Moody Mauve Diamond patterned piece of paper from the now retired Poetic Expression Designer Series Paper pack; Petal Pink Dotted piece of paper from the On-Line Exclusive Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper pack; and the Multi Color Floral patterned piece of paper, reverse side, of the Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Rectangle: (2¼” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The word, celebrate, from the Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • The panel was then dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
  • A (3½”) length of retired Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon was wrapped around the panel.
• Focal Image – Butterfly: Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap.
  • The Butterfly was die-cut using the Butterfly die from the Thanks & Beyond Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin Add-On product. 

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, using patterned paper from a variety of unrelated packages – unmatched but brought together to mix for a pretty card.  Three Gold-toned retired Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the represent the Butterfly Body.

Celebrating Spring, the bursting of Flowers and the visitation of the Butterflies.
