Layers of Beauty Window – My Heart

Welcome back!  It’s Wednesday and I am off to an early start as I have a class this afternoon…

I am playing with the TGIF (#472) Sketch along with the palette from Color Dare (#599) and sharing with Can You Handle The Pressure (#55) with a Floral option.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Coastal Cabana cardstock dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.
• Four Square – Window Panes: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using the five stencil masks from the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks set, two Blending Brushes and all three ink colors: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana, the Floral image was created.
  • I decided to add the outline Floral image stamp from the Layers of Beauty stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, after the fact.
  • Using the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, the four Window Panes were die-cut.
• Sentiment Banner: Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap.
  • The phrase, you make my heart smile, also from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The scrap was trimmed to (3½” x ⅜”) and hand-notched with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. A ribbon bow was tied around the panel with a piece of retired Highland Heather (¼”) Organdy Ribbon still in my stash and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A very lovely friendship card…
