Thoughtful Journey – Thanks

Tuesday!  Design Team time…

Combining Hand Stamped Sentiments (#438) Inspiration Board with the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#460) Layout from page 130 of the Annual Catalog and sharing with Ellibelle’s May Crafty Wednesday Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Misty Moonlight / Blackberry Bliss Water-colored patterned piece of paper from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Meandering Brook Scene image from the retired Peaceful Place stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.
  • Using a Blender Pen, the Tree Trunks and the Evergreens were blurred a little.  Soft Sea Foam ink was added to Grassy Bank and Blackberry Bliss ink was added to Flower the tree.
• Frame Element: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock double die-cut with the two largest Elongated Octagon dies from the Countryside Corners Dies set.
• Triple Shapes – Circles: Basic White and Blackberry Bliss cardstock scraps.
  • The word, Thanks, from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and the Floral image from the retired Notes of Nature stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Both were die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The delicate Floral image, also from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set, was stamped into Versamark ink and then into Misty Moonlight ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder employing the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • Again, using a Blender Pen, the image was colored with Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sea Foam ink.
  • The image was then die-cut with the (1¾”) Stitched Circle die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Given the background scenery, I chose not to use a sentiment label.  Three Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems were added for a bit of decoration.

I am loving the dreamy nature of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper which seemed to tie in well with the Inspiration Board imagery.  The Peaceful Place image also tied in well with the bottom right image.
